oin Orange County Department on Aging’s LGBTQ+ SRT for our monthly dinner and movie series.  As we celebrate the month of love what better way than to celebrate a film that has chocolate in the title.

February’s film is Better than Chocolate; not long after moving into her own place, Maggie (Karyn Dwyer) finds herself with two unsolicited roommates: her recently divorced mother, Lila (Wendy Crewson), and her young brother. The timing is especially bad, considering Maggie has fallen hard for an attractive woman, Kim (Christina Cox), only hours before they move in. What could be a nonissue becomes increasingly complicated -- since Maggie's family is unaware of her sexual orientation, and Maggie is not open to sharing that information.

Co-hosted by Carolina Aging Alliance and Project EngAGE LGBTQ+ Senior Resource Team

Contact method is required upon registration.  Don’t forget to register with the Seymour Center at 919-968-2070.

Dinner will be served at 5:30 pm.

Rally Point Sport Grill, 837 Bass Pro Lane, Cary, NC 27513

Come join the fun at our afternoon friendly social gathering for singles, couples, and groups at RallyPoint located in Harrison Square just off N Harrison Ave / I-40. This event provides an opportunity to make new friends and connections or just enjoy spending time with current friends. This Meetup social event is for Carolina Aging- Triangle and Gay Socialites of Raleigh participants plus any other interested guests.

The game room has been reserved for our group gathering, and you are welcome to drop by anytime during the scheduled gathering and stay as long as you wish. For those wishing to enjoy dinner, the RallyPoint restaurant has an ‘All Day Menu’ with numerous options. There are also other nearby restaurants in the area.

A big positive is that there is ample and easy parking, and if you have never been in the Bass Pro Shops Sportsman’s Center (just to the left of RallyPoint), it is worth coming just to go in for a few minutes to look around (and no, you don’t have to be a sportsman type to find it interesting).
