Education

To effectively connect with older LGBTQ+ adults, it is essential to cultivate both knowledge and empathy. Recognizing their unique histories, internalized trauma, and potential disconnection from biological families is crucial for fostering meaningful engagement. Many older LGBTQ+ individuals often create chosen families, which highlights the importance of this understanding in our interactions with them.
