Join Orange County Department on Aging’s LGBTQ+ SRT for our monthly dinner and movie series. September’s showing is Transamerica, a 2005 American road comedy-drama film written and directed by Duncan Tucker (2005). The film follows Bree, played by Felicity Huffman, a transgender woman preparing to complete her transition, whose life changes when she meets her long‑lost son Toby, portrayed by Kevin Zegers. Together, they embark on an unexpected cross‑country journey that explores identity, family, healing, and acceptance. Their powerful performances bring depth and humanity to this moving story about becoming oneself and building connection.
